Innovation is not just about technology – it’s about how we rethink farming for a changing climate.
That was the spirit of the national conference Innovation as a Driver of Agricultural Development, held in Poznań in early November, where teachers from the Agricultural Education Centre (ZSCKR) in Wojsławice joined the conversation on shaping the future of Climate Smart Agriculture.
The event brought together around 180 agricultural advisors, farmers, local government officials, and representatives of institutions supporting agricultural innovation, to discuss how innovative practices can enhance the sustainability and competitiveness of farms across Poland.
The participants learned about modern technologies, agricultural innovations, rural development, and the adaptation of farms to current climate and economic challenges – all important themes for the ZSCKR teachers to expand their knowledge and experience.
Prof Zbigniew Karaczun, from the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW), stressed the importance of the EVECSA project for the development of teachers’ and students’ competencies in agricultural education.
The conference also gave the opportunity to the Polish CoVE representatives to establish valuable contacts and exchange experiences with other institutions across Poland.
Participation in this event marks another step in developing teachers’ knowledge and skills in the spirit of modern, sustainable, and innovative agriculture.
